Since 1999 we have taken part a number of international intercomparaison exercises some of which were coordinated by S. Hooker from the NASA: Seaharre-1 to 6. Progressively these round robin exercises allowed to evolve as we searched to improve our way of working, our protocoles and most importantly as we learned to evaluate the quality of our analyses.

We have also taken part in european intercomparaison exercises (HIP-1 to 6) coordinated by E. Canutti from the Joint Research Center in Inspra (Italy).

Still with the objective of evaluating and improving our methods as well as those of our french collaborators, we have organised, in 2012-2013 an intercomparaison exercise grouping 4 french laboratories (FIPIGH-1).
